11/26/2020 · As of VCF On VxRail 4.0 SDDC Manager now has the capability built-in to automatically deploy NSX-T Edge clusters to a workload domain to provide routing and network services as per VMware VVD Edge design. It is worth noting an NSX-T Edge cluster does not have a one-to-one relationship with a vSphere cluster and a vSphere cluster can run multiple NSX-T Edge clusters.

When you install an NSX-T Edge as a virtual appliance, internal interfaces are created called fp-ethX, where X is 0, 1, 2, and 3. These interfaces are allocated for uplinks to an upstream physical router/switch and for overlay tunneling.
