The KTM 790 Adventure R and Yamaha Tenere 700 arrived within a year of each other, but are very different motorcycles. The KTM 799cc parallel twin motor started life in the 790 Duke street bike. It was installed in an all-new chassis with WP Xplor fork, a no-linkage rear shock and a 21-inch spoked front wheel with an 18-incher in the rear.
12/23/2019 · This was a little premature on our part so apologies there. The KTM 690 really lines up beside the old Tenere 660, both having a single cylinder engine. But even then, the comparison is still a little skewed. The new T7 uses the MT-07 parallel twin, putting it in the same category as the 790 Adventure R with regards to engine design.

10/24/2020 · I am not payed by either Yamaha or KTM , and I have bought and own both the bikes. Here comes a comparison based on my experiences and preferences, so don’t shoot me if you don’t agree. I have approx. 14,000km on 790 R / S and 12,000km on MT07 / Tenere700 as a basis for what I write. Chassis: KTM ‘s 790 is extremely easy to drive.
9/4/2019 · Yamaha was getting ready to put up a good fight vs . KTM . Hurray! We knew we’d be heavily spoiled by the competition these two new machines would offer. Hold the horses though! Yamaha ’s specs of the Tenere 700 referred to a tamed bike compared to the 790 Adventure .
5/22/2020 · For the record, I like the looks of the 790 , and I hope Yamaha makes a T7 R model with high end suspension! I’ve had so many KTM guys get pissed at me for asking them to show a KTM with 100,000 miles. 193,000 km (120,000 miles) on my S10 and wouldn’t hesitate to.
